Q. Do you advertise vacancies in print media or on Internet job boards?
A. “Adsearch” is a recruitment industry term describing a service combining advertised selection with executive search, and while advertising is always a key consideration when we prepare a recruitment strategy, we rarely advertise if we have been invited to work on an assignment where an appropriate advertising campaign has already proved unsuccessful. Many of our assignments commence at this point. Also, on some occasions we recommend against advertising where candidates are generally in very high demand, and recent similar assignments suggest candidates are simply not responding to advertisements. Therefore, while we agree with and support the idea of reaching active job seekers via advertising, it is not uncommon for us to be sourcing candidates for positions we have not advertised.
