With a recruitment career spanning more than 16 years, Mario has worked with some of Australia�s leading public and private companies. His recruitment experience across a range of industries, both as an external service provider and also working within large organisations as a professional recruiter, is significant.
With this wealth of knowledge and experience, Mario has more recently moved into a specialised and very interesting growth area in our industry ?the attraction of talented personnel through effective employer branding and recruitment strategies.
Specifically, Mario works with companies seeking to develop a unique, positive and identifiable brand in the eyes of both potential and existing employees. This typically involves dealing with other service providers such as advertising agencies and IT specialists to address the development of recruitment advertising campaigns, website career pages and on-line application management.
Mario�s preferred approach also addresses administrative processes, such as candidate correspondence management, to ensure the experience of candidates is positive, and aligned to the company�s projected image. Smart companies place a high priority on getting this right, and a key component is having an experienced industry professional driving the process.
In addition to his work in this area, Mario also works with organisations keen to manage projected recruitment needs in a strategic manner. This involves the design and implementation of a recruitment strategy ensuring critical vacancy sourcing is addressed ahead of time, using the most appropriate methods. The majority of his work in this area has been linked to major projects in engineering, mining, oil & gas and fast moving consumer goods.
Prior to entering the human resource industry, Mario worked as a Business Manager at Melbourne�s Avila College. His HR experience commenced when he joined Elite Consulting in 1989, before joining Fluor Daniel as an in-house recruiter. He has since performed similar internal recruitment roles with companies in the energy, mining, and oil & gas industries. While Mario�s HR career includes employment with some leading recruitment firms, it is clearly his preference to work within a business-based team on a specific project. Mario has a Bachelor of Economics and resides in Melbourne.
